We would like to thank everyone who has helped along the way, and made a difference in the lives of GSDs in the mid-south. Special thanks to Dr. Carolyn McCutcheon and Dr. Jo Cochran for taking such good care of our babies over the years. Nancy and Bonnie, our two strongest supporters, we couldn't have kept going as long as we did without you. And another special thanks to Jean and Ruth...you ladies helped restore my faith in humanity.
I'm very sorry it's come down to this, but I have no other choice. If we can't give the dogs what they need, we aren't achieving our goal, and at this point we cannot give them what they need. So after 4 years and over 400 dogs saved, we are calling it a day for the time being. At some point in the future the situation might change, and MSSR will again be able to step up and rescue. My sincerest hope is we will be able to.
There are 4 'permanent fosters' at my home, that for different reasons (mostly medical) are not adoptable. They will live out the entirety of their lives in our home as family pets. If you would like to make a contribution to help with their ongoing care, please email me to find out how you can help.
Thanks again to everyone who has fostered for us, adopted from us, helped with events and fundraisers, or helped in any way, large or small, along the way. You all have a special place in our hearts, and will not be forgotten.
